Can I bring in my own decorations
Of course! We’ll provide a lot to make your party’s set-up POP the celebration, but you are always welcome to add your own touches.
Do I have to bring the cake? Candles?
We provide a personalized, scrumptious cake for you. You choose the colors, decoration kit, or theme. It’s a sweet way to end the celebration. And we have loads of candles!
Can you provide Kosher food for the party?
Kosher pizza, bagel and fruit platters are available, and we are happy to provide these for your celebration. However, there will be an additional charge, as Kosher food is a more expensive menu item than we usually provide. Juice boxes, favor candy, and other items we leave out to eat will be approved by you first. As a parent desiring a Kosher party, your input will be the most valuable when planning the food elements of the party.
My child’s best friend has a severe nut allergy. Can she come to the party?
We do our very best to accommodate children with allergies for both cooking and non-cooking parties. We request that peanut products are left outside our facility, and we do our personal best not to bring peanut products into our space. However, we do cook with other nuts and nut oils in our kitchen. Ingredients like coconut, almonds, and pecans are used in cooking during our adult events and catered seminars. For the children, though, we rarely use nuts, as the majority of young ones don’t care for the taste and texture.
We follow directions from parents of allergic children to a "T" and pride ourselves on including all the children in our party activities. If we know of a specific allergy in your group, like egg or milk, ahead of time, we will change the recipe for at least one of the groups at a cooking celebration, so that the child with allergies can experience all the fun of the activity within a group. If a Mom of one of your invited guests asks about allergies, have her call us directly so we can give correct information about our facility, and put her in touch with your child’s chef (if you’re hosting a cooking party).
As you can see on our site, we don't use a lot of pixels to promote just any ol' product, but we are able to offer you (at additional cost) Nut/Gluten-Free cakes and goodies baked and guaranteed by B-Sweet Southern Delectable Desserts of New Rochelle. The owner of this delicious bakery, Mrs. Bessie Martin, personally guarantees her cakes are nut free, and we can attest that they are out-of-this-world delicious!
Will other parties be sharing the space?
Absolutely not. We host one party at a time, with a minimum of 1 hour between celebrations. You are never rushed in or out of your party.
Can I visit during another party before I book my party date?
We encourage you to come during a party. We’d love for parents to see us in all our glory! As a courtesy, though, we ask that you do not bring your birthday child or his or her siblings, as it’s so hard for them to NOT join in the fun we’re having.
Will I have to pay for any parents that stick around for the party?
Never! We have plenty of room for the parents to stay and catch up with friends and other parents. We offer coffee, teas, sodas, and water pitchers as well as a coffee cake or a cheese and cracker platter, for all our parties – at no additional charge. If you’d like to provide additional food for your parent guests, we can very easily arrange a platter of fruit or vegetables, as well as bagels and spreads or a display of delicious wraps for your adult guests. Flatbread pizzas, and fresh, crisp salads are always appreciated as well.
What is the maximum number of children you can have?
We can comfortably seat 40 children. Let us help you choose your party theme so that it suits the size of your guest list. Most of our parties are for 18 – 25 children.
What if friends bring younger or older siblings? Can they stay?
Absolutely! It’s always best to give us a maximum number of guests you think will attend. We contact you about 3 – 5 days prior to your party date to confirm final details like numbers, food orders, cake order, etc. No one will leave the party unhappy or empty-handed. We promise!
What is the length of the party?
Our parties are 90-minutes long. Depending on your theme, and your chosen activity, we keep your guests fully entertained from the moment each one walks in the door until the moment they receive their party favors as they leave.
Can my party be longer than 90 minutes?
It sure can. We strongly urge you to choose an additional form of entertainment. No one wants kids at a party with no entertainer to hold their interest – especially us! There are additional charges for the additional entertainment (balloon artists, face painters, magicians, etc) but we’re happy to have you stay as long as your group needs to make it the party of your dreams.
Do you expect all the parents to stay and supervise their child(ren)?
Whereas we welcome parents to stay and enjoy themselves, they are welcome to leave. We have a sign-out sheet by the front door where parents can leave allergy information and a number where they can be reached.
How many party helpers do you provide?
At each of our parties we have a minimum of 2 dedicated party helpers. This is in addition to what the entertainment provides.
Will you send out the invitations if I give you a list?
Unfortunately we will not send out your invitations for you. If you are unable to come and pick up your invitations at the space when they are ready, we are happy to send them to you via USPS Priority Mail.
How many parties has IMP hosted?
Since opening in March of 2006, we’ve enjoyed over 400 on-site parties with our clients.
What is the total cost?
Our parties are like none other. We put just as much effort into a party for 12 children, as we do for a party with 42 children. Size of the guest list does not affect the memory of your celebration, nor should it affect your party price.
All parties on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are $1,895.
All past Party Parents receive a $250 discount.
What do I have to do the day of the party?
NOT A THING! Arrive with your family and birthday child with all the spirit and joy you can muster, and bring your camera!
